Who we are

This site is operated by Nevex Venture UG (haftungsbeschraenkt), Schleiermacherstrasse 21, 28201 Bremen,

When visitors leave comments we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address and

browser usernagent string to help spam detection. An anonymised hash of your email address may be sent to the

Gravatar service (policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/). After approval your avatar is visible with your

comment.

If you upload images, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and

extract location data from website images.

If you leave a comment you may optnin to saving your name, email and website in cookies for convenience

(1 year). A temporary cookie determines if your browser accepts cookies when you visit the login page. Login

cookies last 2 days; screennoptions cookies last 1 year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends login to 2 weeks.

Editing or publishing an article stores an additional cookie that expires after 1 day.

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email. Ordernrelated data is shared

with our payment provider (PayPal or Stripe) for the purpose of processing payment. Analytics data is shared

with Google LLC, advertising data with Meta Platforms Inc.

How long we retain your data

Comments and metadata are retained indefinitely. For registered users we store profile information they

provide; users can edit or delete their personal information at any time (username cannot be changed).

Ordernrelated data is kept for 10 years for tax compliance.

You can request an exported file of personal data we hold or request erasure. This does not include data we

must keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through Akismet antinspam service. Analytics and marketing data may be

transferred to the USA under the EUnUS Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
